Nike National Team Shirt 2010
A great idea deserves great PR
Concept development & production of press pack
In the spirit of environmentally friendly design, Nike created jerseys made out of PET bottles for nine of their sponsored football teams of the FIFA World Cup of 2010. Wanting to create a hype around their ‘recycled shirts’, Nike PR asked Oy to design an irresistible seeding pack. Our focus was to bring attention to the origins of the kits and so we packaged the kits and press releases into recycled PET bottles. The design was a great success and the press pack was featured in multiple high-profile publications such as Wallpaper, Vice and Highsnobiety, as well as holding a place at Nike’s HQ.
